Drivers Age
The minimum driver’s age is 18 years and the maximum driver’s age is 70 years. Drivers over 70 must renew with a medical form DL2.
A Young driver fee of 5 USD per day applies for drivers aged 18 to 24 years old. No senior surcharge applied.
Driver’s License
Driver must present a full and valid driving license that should be valid with no major endorsements, with 2 years of experience required.
A valid driver’s license is required for all international travelers. Foreign licenses are accepted only if they are in English, include a signature, and clearly state the issue date and validity period.
If the license is in another language, it must be accompanied by an international driver’s license or a translated version stamped by the embassy. An original ID document or passport with a matching number must be presented.
Driving permits, certified copies, or photocopies of licenses are not accepted.
Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
It is included in your rental amount.
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess of 30% of the vehicle value.
Theft Waiver (THW)
It is included in your rental amount.
It reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible of 30% of the vehicle value.
Third Party Liability
It is included in your rental amount. Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a limited cover for personal injuries and material damages and it covers the amount up to 50,000 USD.
Excess Reduction
Additional insurance options are available.
A full insurance SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) with no excess is available at the rental desk for _______ per day.
Other fee:
1. An extra amount of USD 200 per contract will apply for one way drop-off from one to another location.
2. A fee of USD 200will apply if the vehicle keys are lost or stolen.
3. The renter is responsible for the cost of any toll, traffic fine, parking fines, other penalties, etc. incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to them. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to the renter plus any administrative expenses.
4. A fee of USD 200 will apply in case of loss of vehicle documents.
5. Smoking in the rented vehicle is prohibited. A fee of USD 50 will apply if the renter smokes in the vehicle.
Early Returns/Unused Rental Days
No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early including the purchase of ancillary items, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.
Breakdown Assistance
A 24/7 emergency control center is available to assist with all breakdowns and emergencies. A replacement vehicle is typically provided within 120 minutes if the customer is within Lusaka. For locations outside Lusaka, a replacement vehicle will be arranged within a few hours, depending on the distance. Charges may apply depending on the nature of the assistance required.
A police report is mandatory in the event of an incident. If no police report is provided, the customer will be held responsible for the full cost of the damage.
Fuel Policy
Full to Full.
The client must return the vehicle with a full tank, as provided at the time of checkout. If the tank is not full on return, a refueling fee of $1.80 per liter will be applied in addition to the cost of the missing fuel.
Mileage Policy
Limited Mileage of 100 KM per day, if exceeded a charge of 0.50 USD/km per SUV category and 0.40 USD/km per sedan will apply depending on the vehicle.
Cross Border Travel
Cross border travel is not allowed.
In case of violation of cross border travel policy, all insurances will be void.
VAT
VAT is included in the rental price.
Payment Methods and Deposit
Only Visa, Cash, Debit, Bank Transfer are accepted and must be on main drivers name while paying at the rental desk.
Debit cards are accepted for rental payment but not for holding the security deposit, which must be secured with a credit card.
Deposit
A refundable deposit of 100 USD will be held from the credit card until the vehicle is returned.
Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection service are available.
· Vehicle delivery within 25km from office 20 USD
· Vehicle delivery within 25km radius from Aston Air out of office ours 50 USD
· Vehicle delivery greater than 26 kms from office $0.50 per km
· Collection or delivery fee out of town 150 USD
Out of Hours
Out-of-hours service is available at a rate of 20 USD per pickup or drop off.
Grace Period
Pick-up: A 1-hour grace period is allowed. If the vehicle is picked up after this period without prior notice, the booking may be treated as a no-show or an extra half-day charge may apply.
Return: A 1-hour grace period is allowed. Returns beyond this will incur an additional day charge.
Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipment depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
